The 1st Annual Oak Park Children's Business Fair was a huge success! It was our debut and we sold out! We learned a lot & worked well together. We've been working hard & listening to our parents and it paid off. We had fun & inspired others! We supported our entrepreneur friends too! Lord willing, much more to come.
An extra thank you to our family that helped make the day special!

We were the only kidpreneurs & had an on stage marketing spot (a little scary but ok) at The World AGB Community Resource & Job Fair! It was an inspiration to witness what Mrs. Hamed & the people of AGB do for others. We learned a lot. We also impressed the adults that came by our table to buy banks and/or learn what else we're about. Our parents encouraged us to manage what we could on our own but of course helped a lot. We heard we did great!
This was our 2nd time at a large event as 3 brothers with a cool business 😉

We did our 3rd vending experience! And we made The Chicago Tribune (link below)!
It was at an elementary school during their Black History month Harambee celebration. Had fun sharing good info, inspiring others, working well together, supporting other entrepreneurs, & evolving the family idea! ☆
A lot of work behind the scenes but worth it!

We did our 4th vending experience! It was at Waukegan High School during their annual Thanksgiving Tournament. We learned more about table set up, connecting e-commerce options, inspiring others, team work, supporting other entrepreneurs, & selling our cool banks!
At the end we were happy to give some our our proceeds to Cool Ministries Food Bank (www.coolministries.org).
Please check them out and consider donating too!

November 2023 ~ We did our 5th vending event! We put in teamwork, learned, and gave financial advice as we sold 21 banks in 3 hours at the Acton Children’s Business Fair. The Bennett Day School in Chicago hosted this one for kids/teens that have a brand, product, or service with a marketing strategy.
Only 3 winners of 20 businesses earned top honors out of *Most Original Business Idea,
*Highest Business Potential &
*Best Presentation.
We won the Most Original Business Idea award!
Please encourage any Kidpreneurs or those in the making you know. It takes A LOT to continue to do this but so worth it.

A fresh start for 2024! ~
We accepted the invitation from our Jack and Jill – Western Cook County Chapter to introduce Financial Literacy to excited preschoolers! It was the 1st time we wrote and implemented our own curriculum! We taught spending and saving through a cool needs vs. wants interactive game and led “how to save $1,000 in a year” bingo! They seemed to have lots of fun and many “wows!” were heard 😊
The kids and parents also enjoyed the “10 young Black Entrepreneurs” video. Every time we show that, we all learn so much (link below)! During snack time, we included 2 book features. Our mom read “Earn It” and Evan read “Spend It” – both by Cinders McLeod. To reinforce all lessons at home, each child received a savings chart and a Boys That Bank Spend/Save bank with reminders to “feed your piggy!”
It was cool to do the financial education for youth part of our business!
Thanks again to the Calvert family for hosting us and all who attended. We hope we inspired the kids to always make good spending and saving choices plus maybe one day become entrepreneurs too! It was a special day for all!
2 parting recommendations:
-
For ages 3-7, we recommend “Little Daymond Loves to Earn” by Daymond John.

Watch this must see video! (https://youtu.be/_XDI0nIZA68?si=oL24QGLWcCfgIuvv)

February 2024! ~
We accepted the invitation from our Jack and Jill – Western Cook County Chapter to lead the event as Kidprenuers and
empower 1st - 3rd graders via financial fun! It was at Liberty Bank's VERY VERY cool innovation center!
We highlighted 10 other kidpreneurs with cool businesses to inspire the group's ideas, we provided handouts for kids to practice saving all year, and recommended financial literature for their parents to read with them as they continue on their
saving/spending/donating/investing journey.
Thanks again to Ms. Wendy of Liberty Bank and the Brown family for hosting us and all who attended. We hope we inspired the kids to always make fiscal choices plus maybe one day become entrepreneurs too!

Saturday, Nov. 16th was cool at LakeView's entrepreneur Autumn Fest!
We met some qualitative and quantitative goals so we can do what we encourage our customers to do =
spend/save/invest/donate fiscal funds!
We largely ran our table alone this time and enjoyed all that came by to buy or just chat. It was cool to see teachers we know, neighbors from the community, and to meet other entrepreneurs. There were many that just their business as well as those that have been in business for over 20 years! So many were impressed with our professional set up and pitch so we thanked them and gave advice. We received really good advice as well!
It has been awhile since we've been doing lots of other things so this one wasn't easy but it was good!
We look forward to the next one!
